The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking to fill a faculty position to serve as our Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Leader. The successful candidate will join this growing academic practice that is greatly expanding its service area, building new practices, and hiring a significant number of family physicians to join the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician educator with expertise in POCUS who is passionate about teaching, innovation, and advancing ultrasound integration across clinical care and medical education. The selected candidate will help lead curriculum development, faculty training, and program growth within a dynamic academic environment. The primary clinical assignment will be to provide clinical coverage at ambulatory clinic sites, as well as teaching and mentoring to our students, residents and fellows.

  • M.D. or D.O. degree, eligibility for or certification by the American Board of Family Medicine or equivalent qualifications in family medicine and Texas medical licensure.
  • Licensed or license eligible in Texas.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a collaborative environment for faculty, staff, and learners or commitment to do so as a faculty member.
  • Has POCUS training, certification, or significant clinical experience
