    Assistant Operations Manager

    Setting/Hours: On-Site| 12p-8p

    Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Hebron, Kentucky that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 
    Position Overview
    We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support daily warehouse and fulfillment operations while helping drive safety, productivity, quality, and customer service. This role works closely with operations leadership and serves as a key communication link between associates, leads, managers, and cross-functional teams.

    The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can develop employees, monitor operational performance, resolve day-to-day challenges, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Support all safety initiatives and OSHA compliance programs to maintain a safe work environment.

    • Assist in overseeing daily warehouse operations to achieve productivity, quality, and service goals.

    • Serve as a key communication link between associates, leads, managers, and leadership.

    • Mentor, train, and develop team members to improve performance and support career growth.

    • Establish, communicate, and enforce quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities using Lean principles and tools.

    • Develop productivity and staffing plans based on workload forecasts and operational requirements.

    • Monitor operational metrics and adjust staffing, workflow, and priorities to meet customer expectations.

    • Resolve operational challenges impacting productivity, quality, or service.

    • Partner with managers and cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and share best practices.

    • Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

    • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining effective communication and follow-through.

    • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented facility culture.
    Requirements

    • Associate degree or equivalent experience.

    • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment.

    • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

    • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and business software applications.

    • Ability to collaborate across departments and build consensus around solutions.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with frontline associates and leadership.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address operational challenges quickly.

    • Ability to balance people leadership with productivity, quality, safety, and customer service expectations.
    Ideal Candidate
    The ideal candidate is a hands-on emerging operations leader who is comfortable being visible on the warehouse floor, coaching employees, tracking performance, and supporting management with daily execution. Someone with experience in employee development, Lean/continuous improvement, WMS systems, KPI tracking, and warehouse operations would be especially well suited for this Assistant Operations Manager opportunity.
