POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Graphic & Web Designer is a dynamic, multi-skilled creative professional who supports the Creative Marketing Manager across graphic design, web maintenance, digital content creation, administrative tasks, and campaign execution.This role is perfect for someone who loves switching between creative design work, hands-on website updates, and daytoday coordination that keeps the marketing department running smoothly. You’ll help bring visual stories to life, ensure our websites stay engaging and current, support social and email marketing efforts, and provide organized, reliable administrative backup.If you’re equal parts creative, technical, detailoriented, and collaborative—this role is for you.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES
This role brings creativity and technical skill to assigned projects, including assisting with the implementation of web and digital strategies using current technologies and best practices, including social media marketing and communications. They willassist the Creative Marketing Manager in creating effective designs for web content. Manage scheduling, tasks, and project tracking for creative initiatives, assist in organizing digital files, maintaining asset libraries, and preparing presentations, coordinate communication with vendors, freelancers, and internal teams, support budgeting tasks such as gathering quotes and tracking invoice submissions, prepare meeting notes, follow-ups, and ensure deadlines are met, and help with event support (digital materials, signage, photography needs, etc.).

Graphic Design (35%): 
  • Create compelling visual assets for web, social media, fundraising campaigns, and print materials. 
  • Assist in developing layouts, logos, banners, infographics, and marketing collateral. 
  • Bring fresh ideas and creative concepts to design meetings. 
  • Collaborate with the program team to stay aligned with project timelines and production calendars. 
  • Prepare design files, exports, and variations for multiplatform use.

Web & Digital Management (35%): 

  • Maintain assigned sections of websites and program platforms (including ALZinfo and subsidiaries). 
  • Design and implement engaging web content, graphics, and landing pages.
  • Support SEO strategy by updating metadata, refining images, and improving content structure.
  • Analyze user behavior, traffic patterns, and site analytics to recommend improvements.
  • Assist in monitoring site security, performance, and prompt content updates.
  • Troubleshoot basic website functionality or formatting issues.

Social Media & E-Marketing (30%):

  • Edit, proofread, and occasionally contribute short-form content or articles for publication. 
  • Support execution of social media strategies designed to build engagement and fundraising activity.
  • Create graphics, video clips, and visual assets tailored for social platforms.
  • Help build and distribute enewsletters and outbound email campaigns.
  • Maintain and segment email lists, track campaign performance, and recommend optimizations.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Communications, or related field. 
    • Minimum 5 years of graphic design experience (nonprofit or agency experience preferred).
    • Working knowledge of web development skills (HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, XML).
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), PowerPoint, and video editing tools.
    • Experience with CMS, SEO, digital marketing, and social media best practices.
    • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
    • Must be able to assist with analyzing website user trends and recommend and implement changes based on that analysis.
    • Open to train other team members if needed.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Asana preferred.
    • SharePoint, Dropbox, Salesforce experience a plus.
    • Comfortable using phone systems (e.g., Yealink), Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

    Working Conditions

    • Friendly, collaborative office located in a beautiful, shared space. 
    • Standard 40hour workweek, Monday–Friday, plus a onehour lunch; arrival no later than 9:00 AM.
