About This Position:
$45,000/year
The Assistant Food Service Director works with the Food Service Director to plan activities associated with running a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens. The Assistant Food Service Director is also responsible for supervising a group of food service workers that are involved with the preparation and distribution of food in the kitchen.
You will work onsite inside a jail/correctional facility. You will report to a Food Service Director.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
You will hire, orient, train and issues corrective action (when applicable) to team members.
Develop positive connections with clients requires communicating with them.
Oversee the appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served according to facility or site plan.
Maintain accuracy of inventory in advance preparation of planned menu schedule.
Ensure that food items are stored properly.
Maintain all serving schedules to ensure all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner according to departmental guidelines.
Maintain a sanitary environment following food service and Health Department codes and regulations.
Responsible for any state or other inspection of food service operation.
Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
