Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Rehabilitation Services Director, assumes administrative responsibility for rehabilitation services (e.g., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology for inpatient and outpatient services). Provides input into planning, organizing, budgeting and reporting to achieve consistency and a high level of member satisfaction of services throughout the Facility and/or Service Area.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supports the Director in the development of rehabilitation services programs that identify and meet member needs. Identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of service. Supports operations within the department to assure consistency, including implementation of new services, clinical practices and initiatives.
- Assists the Director with development and administration of the operating and capital budgets. Participates in the planning and implementation delivery of care strategies for Rehabilitation Services. Working with the Director, develops new products and services to meet members expectations within a competitive healthcare market. Implements and monitors service line policies and procedures which support strategic initiatives, goals and business objectives and ensures they are met.
- Assists the Director in planning, monitoring and adjusting resources for the Rehabilitation Services. Coordinates staffing, labor relations and compensation activities at the regional services level, to include input and preparation for labor contract negotiations. Promotes a work environment which supports team performance and communicates the goals and vision of Rehabilitation Services and support staff in meeting these goals.
- Responsible for assuring the quality, safety and efficiency of the care provided by the Rehabilitation Services staff. Develops partnerships with external constituencies, the community, academic programs and other groups. Provides direct therapy/rehabilitation patient care services as needed.
