Location: South Bend, IN – Onsite
Salary Range: $105,000–$120,000

This Assistant Controller role will play a critical part in strengthening accounting operations, improving financial processes, and supporting strategic business initiatives. What You’ll Do

• Lead accounting process improvement and workflow optimization initiatives
• 
  
• Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and reporting automation
• 
  
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, and cost accounting
• 
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes
• 
  
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and monthly close process
• 
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational and financial efficiencies
• 
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 
  
• 5+ years of accounting experience within construction, manufacturing, or related industries
• 
  
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, Acumatica, or similar platforms
• 
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and cost accounting principles
• 
  
• Proven ability to improve processes and implement efficiencies
• 
  
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• 
  
• Ability to adapt and lead within a changing environment
