Job Overview:

As an Assistant Community Manager, you will support the Community Manager by helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the community, with a strong focus on covenant enforcement, architectural review, homeowner communication, and compliance administration.

This role is responsible for ensuring community standards are maintained through routine inspections, resident education, violation tracking, and architectural review coordination, while also providing general administrative support to the management office.

Compensation: $24.50 per hour + based on experience

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client''s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client''s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine community-wide compliance inspections up to four times per week, driving throughout the community street-by-street to identify, document, photograph, and track violations of governing documents and community standards.
  • Issue violation notices and manage compliance cases from initial inspection through final resolution.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding compliance concerns, providing education and guidance on community standards and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, homeowner correspondence, and compliance statuses.
  • Review and process architectural applications, ensuring homeowner modifications comply with governing documents, design guidelines, and architectural standards.
  • Serve as a resource to homeowners by explaining the architectural review process and assisting with application requirements.
  • Follow up with homeowners, committee members, board members, and vendors regarding compliance and architectural matters as directed.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including service requests, architectural requests, tracking deposits, processing payments, and maintaining community records.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the community''s governing documents, architectural standards, policies, and rules.
  • Assist with meeting preparation and administrative support for community operations.
  • Assist in organizing community events and related materials.
  • Coordinate key fob setup and amenity access.
  • Escalate homeowner concerns and unresolved compliance matters as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to professionally address difficult conversations and enforce community standards with diplomacy and consistency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills resulting in strong working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large volume of follow-up activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspections and compliance matters.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to routinely drive throughout the community to conduct inspections.

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience (required)
  • HOA and/ or property management experience (highly preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly walk and drive throughout the community to perform inspections
  • Frequently enter and exit a vehicle while conducting inspections
  • Sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Perform community inspections in varying weather conditions
  • Sit at a desk using a computer in an office setting
  • Must possess a valid driver''s license, maintain reliable transportation, and be able to travel throughout the community as needed

Work Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85255

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p
