Assembler I

Pay Rate: $20/hr
Location: Pomona, CA
Shift: Mon-Fri | 6am - 2:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment used to manufacture products.
• Assemble, check, and inspect products against departmental procedures.
• Recognize product or equipment problems during the manufacturing process and escalate to Line Lead or Supervisor.
• Assist with the set-up and clean-up of manufacturing equipment.
• Participate actively in Lean Initiatives.
• Work on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.
• Exhibit professional behavior with both internal and external business associates, reflecting positively on the company and consistent with company policies and practices.
• Understand and be aware of the quality consequences that may occur from improper performance of the job.
• Have awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing, and testing activities.
• Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies.
• Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be physically able to stand for prolonged periods, as this position is not done sitting down.
• Conduct repetitive movements including push/pull moving of product as needed from assembly area.
• No heavy lifting required, but occasional bending, stooping, and movement of completed product from one area to another is necessary.
• Ability to clean up the manufacturing equipment used in the area.
• Must wear comfortable closed toe shoes, as standing on feet for the entire shift is required.
