Position Overview
As the Area Sales Manager, you'll lead sales initiatives for all assigned Idaho properties, focusing on corporate, group, and extended-stay business segments.You'll play a key role in increasing occupancy, strengthening brand presence, and building long-term client partnerships throughout the Boise metro area.
This role requires regular local travel between properties and active engagement within the business community.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans for multiple hotel locations
Prospect and secure new business across corporate, government, and group segments
Maintain and grow a portfolio of high-value client accounts
Respond to RFPs, inbound leads, and sales inquiries with urgency and professionalism
Conduct site visits, client meetings, and property tours
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and group agreements
Track and manage sales activity using CRM tools
Partner with General Managers and operations teams to ensure seamless group execution
Represent properties at industry events, networking functions, and local organizations
Performance Expectations
Success in this role will be evaluated based on:
Revenue growth and market share gains
Occupancy and ADR improvement across properties
Lead generation and pipeline development
Conversion rates and account retention
Community involvement and brand visibility
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years in hotel or hospitality sales
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to travel locally between Boise/Nampa properties
Preferred:
Experience working with Hilton and/or Marriott brands
Background in multi-property or regional sales roles
