Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Area HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to store management; ensuring compliance with policies, providing guidance and counsel, and handling various aspects of HR administration. The Area HR Manager is expected to collaborate with local leaders to address HR needs and contribute to organizational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

\u25cf Partner with the Director of Human Resources to ensure maximum performance of all HR Metrics and to create action plans to positively impact top and bottom line business initiatives

\u25cf Cultivating the professional growth and development of the HR coordinators and HR managers. Monitoring their progress through regular performance reviews.

\u25cf Focus on talent assessment and learning programs leading to high growth opportunities for store associates

\u25cf Work with Store Management and Area Management teams to ensure that the external direct recruiting effort, the hiring process and the identification and promotion of internal management candidates is executed and maintained to company standard

\u25cf Track internal/external placement and promotions monthly

\u25cf Partner with Store Leadership team in developing a succession plan at all levels. Focus on talent assessment and learning programs leading to high growth opportunities for store associates

\u25cf Partner with Store Management, Area Manager and Loss Prevention on all Human Resource issues

\u25cf Provide guidance to leadership and non-management personnel in resolving work related problems; ensuring a balance between employee needs and organizational goals

\u25cf Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures and local, state, and federal requirements

\u25cf Serve as a strategic adviser to our operational management team to understand business needs and proactively identifying gaps in communication or process and procedure

\u25cf Interpret policies and procedures, and provides counsel and guidance to Supervisors, Store Managers and Associates on workplace issues

\u25cf Lead corporate initiatives focused on the associate experience, turnover solutions, and training needs

\u25cf Train managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment

\u25cf Participate in the management of various aspects of HR administration including payroll, benefits, records retention, EEO/AA compliance, compensation, and employee relations.

\u25cf Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and conflicts in the workplace. This includes but may not be limited to handling employee grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

\u25cf Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

\u25cf Support the implementation of health and safety protocols in the workplace.

\u25cf Willingness to travel visiting various stores within the region.

\u25cf Other related duties to be assigned by direct supervisor

\u25cf Frequent in-person collaboration

Qualifications:

\u25cf Bachelor's Degree required

\u25cf 4+ years of multi-unit HR experience in a complex market (ie. multi-state market, high volume employee relations issues)

\u25cf High volume, multi-location, retail environment experience required

\u25cf Expertise in the opening of new markets as it relates to staffing, government regulations and HR-related store operations

\u25cf General knowledge of federal and state employment laws and practices

\u25cf Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality

\u25cf Proficiency in full cycle recruiting including experience with applicant tracking systems

\u25cf Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills

\u25cf Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Salary: $95,000 - $106,000*

  • The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
