This position is ideal for a mid-level engineer who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, working directly with customers, and developing practical thread rolling solutions for real-world production applications.This role combines technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, customer interaction, project management, and process development to support the successful implementation of thread rolling processes and tooling solutions across a wide range of industries.What You'll DoAs part of the Thread Rolling Solutions Team, you will help customers improve productivity, quality, and profitability through optimized thread rolling solutions and innovative manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate customer applications and recommend thread rolling solutions, tooling, and process improvementsReview customer drawings, specifications, material requirements, and production objectives to develop optimal thread rolling processesDevelop, validate, and document thread rolling processes for new and existing applicationsSupport customer trials, process validation, troubleshooting, and production implementation activitiesWork hands-on with thread rolling attachments, rolls, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipmentTroubleshoot customer production issues and provide technical recommendations to improve quality, productivity, and tool lifeCollaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, product development, and sales teams to ensure successful execution of customer projectsAssist in the development, testing, and commercialization of new thread rolling products, technologies, and manufacturing solutionsPrepare quotations, technical proposals, cost estimates, and application recommendationsConduct customer training, product demonstrations, and technical presentationsSupport new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customersTravel to customer facilities as needed to support installations, process optimization, training, and application development (approximately 5-15%)Document application data, test results, lessons learned, and best practices to support continuous improvement initiativesWhat We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field3-7 years of experience in applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, tooling, machining, or a related technical roleStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environmentTechnical QualificationsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specificationsExperience with machining, metalworking, tooling, fastening systems, or cold-forming processes preferredKnowledge of thread rolling processes, tooling, or precision manufacturing is a plusProficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software and parametric modeling preferredStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office;
