-Apigee Platform Buildout Developer
Location- Dallas, San Antonio, Alpharetta, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Tampa, Philadelphia, Saint Louis to support at client office in the hybrid work expectation.
We are seeking an Apigee Platform Buildout Developer with 4 to 8 years of experience in API management, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and platform operations. This role is responsible for building, configuring, supporting, and enhancing Apigee environments across enterprise cloud, hybrid, and on-premises deployments. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps, security, networking, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable API platform solutions.
Responsibilities
Build and configure Apigee organizations, environments, API products, shared flows, security policies, and runtime components.
Deploy, support, and troubleshoot Apigee runtime environments on Kubernetes platforms such as GKE, EKS, and AKS.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and APIOps automation using Git-based workflows, scripting, and deployment tools.
Implement platform security controls, including OAuth, JWT, TLS/mTLS, IAM/RBAC, secrets management, and API protection policies.
Monitor platform health, support incident resolution, maintain operational documentation, and assist with migration and modernization initiatives.
Qualifications
4 to 8 years of hands-on experience with Google Apigee platform administration, implementation, and API management.
Strong Kubernetes operational experience, including deployments, ingress, secrets, RBAC, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments) and core networking concepts such as DNS, load balancing, and IAM.
Proficiency in CI/CD and automation tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, Terraform, Helm, or similar technologies.
Solid understanding of API security, observability, Linux administration, REST APIs, Git, and enterprise production support practices.
