AM Prep Supervisor – Fine Dining, Michelin Recognized Restaurant


Pay Rate: $25–$26 per hour – compensation within the posted range will be based on experience and qualifications. Further pay rate discussions will be had during the interview process.

Allora is seeking an experienced and organized Prep Supervisor to oversee daily prep production and help ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for successful service.


The Prep Supervisor will take ownership of the daily prep operation, working closely with the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to maintain production standards, organization, product quality, and proper rotation and storage.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise and coordinate daily prep production and ensure required prep is completed accurately and on time.
  • Organize and prioritize daily prep tasks based on the needs of the kitchen and service.
  • Communicate prep progress, shortages, and production needs to the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
  • Maintain proper product rotation, labeling, storage, and organization of walk-ins and kitchen storage areas.
  • Monitor food quality and taste prepared items regularly, making appropriate adjustments in coordination with the chef in charge.
  • Ensure recipes, preparation methods, portioning, and quality standards are consistently followed.
  • Help train, direct, and support prep team members throughout their shifts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized prep kitchen, walk-in, storage areas, and workspaces.
  • Set the standard for cleanliness, organization, efficiency, and professional conduct within the prep team.
  • Assist kitchen leadership with maintaining appropriate prep levels and minimizing waste.
  • Follow and reinforce all company food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and kitchen policies.
  • Perform additional kitchen and supervisory duties as needed
Qualifications


We are looking for someone with previous professional kitchen experience who is ready to take ownership of a busy prep operation. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable providing direction to other team members.


Previous prep, lead cook, kitchen lead, or supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of food preparation, kitchen organization, product rotation, sanitation, and food safety practices.


Schedule


This is a full-time position. Availability should meet the operational needs of the restaurant, including additional hours when business needs require. Schedule specifics will be discussed during the interview process. Below is an example of a possible schedule:

Standard Work Schedule 
  • 8 Hours per day, 5 days per week. 
  • 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday
  • There may be times when additional work is required.
