Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students, and support their academic and personal growth. This role requires a commitment to the development of each child, utilizing effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques to create an engaging and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Duties
Deliver fun, interactive chess lessons using the provided curriculum
Manage a classroom of up to 16 students.
Provide individual support and encouragement to students of varying skill levels.
Facilitate friendly matches and oversee chess-related activities.
Maintain attendance and communicate with program coordinators and school staff.
Utilize first aid knowledge as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in various capacities such as tutoring, childcare, or sports coaching.
Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
Background in early childhood education is preferred but not required.
Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learners.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and families.
