Job Summary
We have a unique part-time opportunity to provide executive leadership for a California-based client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable and reliable urban water supplies. This position is currently structured as part-time; however, full-time opportunities may be available based on the candidates skills, experience and business needs.
In this role, the individual will serve as Executive Director, leading the client organization in achieving its mission to provide a unified voice for urban water solutions that support thriving communities and a healthy environment. Responsibilities include serving as a trusted partner and objective resource on California water issues, strengthening collaboration among member agencies, facilitating Board meetings, representing the organization at related stakeholder engagements, providing strategic counsel to support informed decision-making, and managing/mentoring staff in the execution of the organization's strategy.
Job Description
The Affiliate, Executive Director provides executive management services leveraging strong government/stakeholder relationships, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a water policy background to implement the organization's mission and strategy. This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to contribute thought leadership on key issues. The Affiliate, Executive Director applies knowledge of California water issues, including existing and legislative and regulatory matters, and actively contributes to thought leadership within and on behalf of the organization. This role requires 8 - 12 hours per week.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Hourly Rate: $100 - $150
