Here, your work directly supports the warfighter, your voice is heard, and your growth matters.THE OPPORTUNITYBanner Defense is in search of an Advanced Radar Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Theater-Based Defense (TB), Mobile Land-Based (MLB) Sensors Program Office. In this role, you will ensure all requirements are met in accordance with agency protocols, contracts, and government regulations.WHAT YOU'LL DOServe as the Mobile Land-Based Sensors Program Office coordinator for AN/TPY-2 Forward Based Mode (FBM) Surveillance Radar Army Materiel Release (MR) and fieldingSupport the MR process to ensure the AN/TPY-2 radar is safe, suitable, and supportable for the warfighterSupport the Targets Systems Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test, including requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis, and reportingCoordinate and secure approval of MR products; develop, coordinate, and prepare MR products, including program inputs; assist with developing MR artifacts; and handle MR data products for the sensor engineering technical and management teamSupport the THAAD Weapon MR Coordinator with AN/TPY-2 Terminal Mode Radar component support as it relates to MR and fieldingAssist TBS with carrying out Lead Systems Engineering responsibilities for the TPY-2 Product Management OfficeCoordinate with the warfighter community (U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command) on radar requirementsCoordinate meetings, prepare minutes/notes, and track action items to closureSupport the THAAD International Engineering Services Program (IESP) with AN/TPY-2 Terminal Mode Radar component support, including periodic radar updates to the local UAE and KSA Foreign Liaison Officer (FLO) offices on IESP-related radar software maintenanceOccasionally, as requested, serve as Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader for one of the Product Office's IPTs, assigning, coordinating, tracking, and reporting action item status and taskings across the IPTProvide surveillance, oversight, coordination, and status reporting for various development activities, including software and hardware requirements reviews, verifying changes for hardware and software impacts, and tracing reviews to/from software and firmware requirements specificationsDevelop and brief weekly updates at product office staff meetings with product office leadership and the industry prime contractorCoordinate and collaborate with MDA and MDA-external organizations to facilitate select aspects of radar test and evaluation activitiesProvide systems engineering and software development support, including assessments and analyses of requirements, strategies, designs, specifications, plans, alternatives, metrics, processes, and development issuesOn occasion, provide radar on-site support for software upgrades associated with radar software testing, flight and ground tests, and early integration eventsContribute to the team effort by accomplishing other duties as needed.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGBachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 12+ years of proven experience in DoD air and missile defense, or a related role within a government or contractor environmentActive DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. CitizenshipExpertise in THAAD Weapon, AN/TPY-2 FBM radar, Patriot or Sentinel Army radars, or Navy Aegis radarProficiency in U.S. Army Materiel ReleaseWorking knowledge of air and missile defense radar systemsTechnical working knowledge of systems engineering processesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to use problem-solving skills to address issuesSome travel is required.PREFERENCE IF YOU HAVEMaster's degree in a STEM field.Ready to make your mark on the mission?APPLY TODAY!!SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS • EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) EMPLOYERReasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
