Adult Echocardiography- DMS Adjunct Faculty Instructor
South College Asheville is seeking an Adult Echocardiography- DMS Adjunct Faculty Instructor to join the DMS Department. This position is on-ground at the Asheville Campus in Asheville, NC. Travel to area clinical sites may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop appropriate academic lectures and/or scanning lab, as well as learning experiences that allow all students to achieve course objectives in sonography.
- Ensure that all academic program requirements and forms of documentation are completed as required for each student and submitted per established deadlines in sonography.
- Provide appropriate and timely feedback to students.
- Be reasonably accessible to students for questions and assistance.
- Appropriately manage all classroom activities.
- Submit accurate attendance/academic participation rosters as prescribed by the institution.
- Submit assignment grades and feedback in a timely manner.
- Be willing to assist with visiting students in a clinical setting.
Requirements
Education
- Required associate's degree in adult cardiac sonography
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in relevant field required for didactic instruction
Experience
- Must have active credential in adult echocardiography as either RDCS or RCS
- Must document the equivalent of two years full-time experience as a sonographer.
