Overview:
Auburn University Human Resources seeks candidates for an Administrative Support Associate position to serve as our department’s Receptionist and first point of contact for visitors and callers, delivering high-quality customer service in an office environment.
This role is one of the most important jobs in our department, and will be responsible for providing supportive and efficient customer service to our guests and callers. The individual who will thrive in this role enjoys connecting with people, collaborating with a team, and ensuring smooth operation of an office.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the office receptionist by greeting, receiving, tracking and determining the needs of all visitors to Human Resources.
- Routes telephone calls, packages, and visitors to the appropriate departments.
- Assists job applicants and answers questions about the application system.
- Remains knowledgeable about departmental policies, procedures, and operations and adapts to changes in policies, procedures, and operations.
- Monitors those entering the department for security purposes.
- Coordination of departmental building maintenance and services.
- Providing administrative support to HR functional units so they can serve campus efficiently and effectively.
- Completes administrative projects as assigned.
- Serves as the departmental timekeeper.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in clerical and administrative support services.
- A degree may substitute for years of experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of office rules, procedures and operations that require previous training and experience to perform.
