Office of International Initiatives (OII)
The Office of International Initiatives (OII) seeks an Administrative Specialist II to work in a high-volume, outcomes-driven office where teamwork and collaboration are valued.
Georgia State University, founded in 1913, has a mission of excellence in teaching, research, and service. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, this major research university has an enrollment of more than 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students. GSU also incorporates Perimeter College, a two-year college serving students across five Atlanta-area campuses. Study Abroad Programs is a unit of the Office of International Initiatives. Other major units of International Initiatives include International Partnerships and Agreements, Special Programs for Global Engagement, Virtual Exchange, and Global Scholar Distinction program. GSU is nationally recognized as a leader in international education, having won the 2022 IIE Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education and the 2023 Senator Paul Simon Award for Outstanding Campus Internationalization.
The Administrative Specialist II works closely with OII senior leadership and OII staff to process international agreements, assist with partnership management, coordinate delegation visits, and compile data related to OII activities.
This position plays a key role in OII's mission to strengthen targeted and robust international partnerships that underpin the university's strategic mission and goals, including international education and globally engaged research.

Qualifications
:
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience
Preferred Hiring Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience in international partnership development or other international programs, project management, program coordination, grants, and contracts management, or similar.
Superior writing and editing skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong customer service ethic
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite softwar.
Experience drafting partnership agreements in a higher education setting.
Experience negotiating or coordinating programs in a higher education setting.
Compiling and analyzing data
Strong cross-cultural communication skills and understanding of different business practices in cross-cultural environments.
