Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree. Two years of administrative experience in marketing and promotions to include editing and publishing materials, developing marketing campaigns, assessing and placing advertisements, or related experience is required. Additional administrative experience in marketing and promotions to include editing and publishing materials, developing marketing campaigns, assessing and placing advertisements, or related experience may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a Driver license.

Recruitment Notes

This position serves as the Public Information Officer for the Code Compliance Division and is a highly professional administrative position which is responsible for the dissemination of departmental information, public relations, media coverage, development of publications and department website communication updates, coordination of public records requests, coordination of public meetings and workshops and updating of division telephone/email directory. This position is the face of the division for all constituent relations involving escalations to the Code Compliance Division or review of actions taken by Code Compliance resulting in media (radio/tv) exposure. The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison for the division with the ITD Telecommunications Department, the Idea Machine, 311 and the Communications Department.

The position will also be responsible for attending any educational public events related to code enforcement for purposes of outreach efforts and providing open lines of communication with the public on enforcement jurisdiction of the department. The incumbent will also serve as the primary Records Custodian for the Code Compliance Division and will be responsible for coordinating all public records requests with the appropriate sections of the Division and any other County departments as needed.
