    Description

EGO Strength and Performance is a private, membership-based strength facility built for powerlifters, strongman competitors, and serious athletes who take training seriously. We operate with a tight-knit culture and hold ourselves to a high standard for how members are treated, both on the floor and behind the scenes. As we prepare to expand into two new locations and launch our EGO Run Club, we're looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional to help us scale the administrative and financial backbone of the business without losing the precision we're known for.

    About the Role

This is an administrative assistant role with a clear financial edge. While you'll support day-to-day office operations and keep member data clean, accurate, and actionable, a core part of this job is owning the everyday purchase and petty cash process. You'll track spending as it happens, keep records tight, and make sure our account manager always has an accurate, current picture of what's being spent and what's left in the budget. As we open new locations and launch new programs, this role becomes even more important. Clean financial tracking now means smoother scaling later.

    What You'll Do

Day to day, you'll manage petty cash and everyday purchasing for the facility, logging every transaction, reconciling receipts, and flagging discrepancies before they become problems. You'll maintain a running record of expenditures against budget and prepare regular summaries for the account manager, so spending decisions are always made with current, accurate information. You'll also handle general administrative work: keeping member records updated and organized, supporting front-desk and scheduling needs as they come up, assisting with vendor or supply orders, and helping prepare documentation as we open new locations and roll out EGO Run Club. Where processes are informal or nonexistent, you'll help build simple systems that keep spending and data organized as the business grows.

    What We're Looking For

We need someone who treats accuracy as non-negotiable and who's comfortable being the person who catches the small errors before they turn into bigger ones. You should be confident working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for day-to-day tracking, and ideally have hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage for reconciling expenses, categorizing transactions, and generating reports our account manager can act on.

You should be someone who follows through on tasks without needing constant oversight.

Experience with petty cash handling, purchase tracking, or basic budgeting is a strong plus, as is prior admin experience in a small or growing business.

Just as important is fit: we're a tight-knit team with a strong culture, and we need someone who respects that and treats our members and staff with the same high standard we hold ourselves to.

Basic knowledge with Excel/Google Sheets, QuickBooks or Sage or similar accounting software, petty cash logs, and basic reporting/budgeting templates.

    Why Join Us

You'd be joining EGO at a pivotal moment, right as we expand beyond our original location and launch a new program in EGO Run Club. This is a chance to help build the financial and administrative systems that support that growth from the ground up, in a gym that genuinely cares about doing things right.
