Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and/or performs complex administrative activities for the Community Resources Division with the South Carolina Department on Aging.

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor internal office procedures, including standard operating procedures, policies, and create/mailing correspondence; ensure that documents are submitted for signatures.

  • Assists in coordinating and scheduling meetings and taking minutes.

  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of documents, which may include drafting, proofreading, mailing/distributing, and/or filing both electronically and physically.

  • Performs other assigned duties as requested or assigned, to include but not limited to assisting with phone coverage of the front desk when other appropriate staff are not available, and participation in agency outreach events.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelors degree may be substituted for required work experience.

  • Ability to plan and organize.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and professional skills are essential.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality and discretion, and can exercise good judgment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to prioritize and perform the duties of the position with limited supervision.
