Position Description

Advertised Job Summary - The Administrative Assistant serves as additional support to confidentially assist the Department Chair, as support for administrative staff and will provide administrative assistance to the department. They will assist with the day-to-day operations of the department to include general office duties such as maintaining the departmental calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings and events for the Department Chair, preparing/drafting office correspondence, processing invoices, travel documents as well as completing various purchasing and other administrative tasks that will assist the department in running smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications - Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Previous experience in a University setting is preferred.
