Overview
Reporting to the VP for Research and team to accomplish the goals of the Office of the Vice-President for Research {OVPR). This position will be primarily assisting the VP with day-to-day operations, managing the VP's calendar and travel, basic invoicing, general oversight of department expenses, and other projects as needed by the VP and/or team. Their role is to also assist in maintaining records, event organizing with the Coordinator, and other administrative tasks as needed. This position does not offer remote or hybrid work and is on-site full time.
Responsibilities
Perform routine daily tasks, such as managing the front desk, screening calls or in-person guests, maintaining files and restocking office supplies.
Responsible for general oversight of departmental expenses (e.g., lab supplies, reimbursements, tracking VP's funds, budget modifications, development, etc).
Keep track of VP's calendar, inspections, renewals, including management of records, databases, onboarding of staff and volunteers.
Employee must be effective under pressure, organized and professional.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred, with a preference to those with a background in communications, health administration, or finance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, MS Teams. Must be able to utilize Zoom. Experience managing social media is a bonus. Prior working knowledge of research and STEM and administrative assistance to leadership roles is highly preferable. Also preferable to have at least 2-3 years' experience with administrative work in academia or research institutions.

USD $30,940.00/Yr.
