Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Administrative Assistant to support our Tumwater, WA office operations and serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, referral sources, and visitors.

- Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm

Job Summary
The Front Desk Administrative Assistant supports the daily administrative functions of the agency while providing excellent customer service to patients, families, referral sources, and staff. This position assists with reception duties, patient intake coordination, medical records management, and general office support to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Greet and assist visitors, patients, and referral sources
- Assist with patient intake and referral documentation
- Maintain and organize medical records and patient files
- Process physician orders and track required documentation
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical office experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Experience with patient intake, referrals, or medical records preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Home Health or Hospice experience
- Experience with HCHB
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid documentation requirements
