Administrative Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This person will be our first point of contact with our customers as they enter our facility and phone in.  This position will perform reception and various office administrative duties to support our daily operations and reception duties as required, answer phone calls, and greet our customers and visitors.

• Answer and direct incoming calls
• Order assistance – date orders and send confirmations
• Enter Trim and Coil ID
• Mark Will-Calls ready for pick-up, notifying customers
• UPS shipping
• Maintain color chips stock and labeling
• Maintain office and kitchen supplies, notifying purchasing staff when items are needed
• Always maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. 
• Special Projects and other duties as assigned

Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

• Strong customer service skills and social skills
• Excellent organizational skills are needed to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a tidy workspace. 
• Telephone etiquette, customer service, and social skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software
• Computer use
• A friendly and professional demeanor, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively. 
• Able to work as part of the team
• Self-starter taking initiative, independent of direct supervision
• ERP use a plus
• Bi-lingual a plus
• Experience in building systems, and full scope construction with roofing and siding a plus
• Highschool or GED preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.  Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone. Generally good working conditions with little or no safety/health hazards, some exposure to cooler or warmer weather dependent on physical work location.  Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.  Pre-employment drug testing required.

The wage range for this position takes into account an array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographical location and other organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22/hr.-$26/hr.
