The Administrative Assistant supports departmental operations by managing administrative activities and coordinating projects.
Essential duties include serving as the supervisor's primary contact, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel, and maintaining calendars.
Prepares and proofreads correspondence and reports, organizes filing systems, and assists with project coordination.
Manages procurement of supplies and equipment, tracks expenditures, and assists with financial reconciliation.
Handles mail and phone inquiries, organizes departmental events, and facilitates travel arrangements.
Maintains the department website and databases, and may perform other related duties as needed.
Required skills include excellent communication, organization, judgment, tact, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
Must be able to interface with all levels of staff and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment.
