Position Summary
The Admin Support Specialist provides full administrative support for University Police and Public Safety. The employee provides support in managing calendaring, travel authorizations/reimbursement paperwork, financial paperwork and reporting, and confidential projects. This position requires constant professional-level interaction with university students, staff, faculty and visitors. Additionally, this position assists with aspects of office management and related record keeping, accounts payable and receivable for all areas of Police and Public Safety. The Admin Support Specialist shall be trained and competent in all University Police programs and operation. The employee must complete yearly in-service training as well as any other certifications needed. Assist with the management of the agency motor fleet, including invoicing, billing and coordinating maintenance. The employee in this position is expected to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Strong written and verbal communications skills, experience with various office technologies such as Word, Excel, Access, Google Suite, Adobe, PowerPoint, and website maintenance. The employee in this position must be a Notary Public in North Carolina or be able to obtain such certification. This position is considered essential personnel.
