This position serves as an Administrative Assistant 3 within Business Operations at UNM-Los Alamos and provides a broad range of advanced administrative, fiscal, and operational support. The role performs and/or oversees a variety of administrative and planning activities requiring specialized knowledge and independent judgment, including budget administration support, records and database management, inventory coordination, and information-gathering projects, while also coordinating and facilitating meetings, program functions, and special events and potentially assisting in training lower-graded staff or student employees.
The Administrative Assistant 3 will directly support the Business Operations Director and the Human Resources Administrator 2, ensuring efficient workflow and alignment of departmental priorities, while also serving as a key point of contact for students by assisting with cashiering functions and responding to questions related to payments and account processes. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, strict confidentiality, and compliance with institutional policies, and is critical to supporting the operational effectiveness of Business Operations and enhancing the overall student and employee experience.
