Adjunct Faculty - Sustainability [POOL] Recruitment #: F-SUS Review Date: Review as needed | Ongoing Department: Sustainability Salary Rate: Commensurate with education and experience Department/ Position Summary: The Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Sustainability will be responsible for providing high- quality, learner -centered education in topics in Sustainability. Primary responsibilities include designing, delivering, and managing courses, while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Faculty are expected to demonstrate subject matter expertise, employ effective teaching approaches, and maintain professional standards in student engagement and course management. Required Qualifications: Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the following: Master's Degree or PhD in S ustainability or related fi eld. 1-2 years of t eaching experience in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration or related field OR combination of teaching experience and related professional experience Communication (verbal and written): Demonstrates clear, professional, and effective communication in both verbal and written interactions, ensuring students understand expectations, instructions, and feedback. Engaging and dynamic classroom teaching: Uses a variety of instructional strategies and interactive activities to create an engaging learning environment that promotes student participation and critical thinking. Positive rapport with students: Builds respectful, supportive relationships with students and fosters a welcoming classroom environment where students feel valued, comfortable, and motivated to learn .
