JOB TITLE: Activities Coordinator - Recreation
DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Parks and Recreation Director(s)
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Part Time and Seasonal Staff
STATUS: Full Time, AFSCME Office
COMPENSATION: $25.4678 per hour/Level 1, with increases per the collective bargaining agreement
WORK SHIFT: Varies (to include evenings and weekends)
Purpose: Develops, coordinates, schedules, implements, supervises, and evaluates of a variety of recreational programs, activities and special events. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Work schedule will be flexible and include nights, weekends and holidays as needed. An employee in this position must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must maintain a professional demeanor in dealing with coworkers, supervisors and the public.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws for seasonal and part time staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Full-time employees may qualify for educational reimbursement, up to $5,000.00 per academic year.
Non-safety force employees are members of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). Safety force employees are members of the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund (OP&F).
Longevity is available for employees with five (5) or more years of service with the City of Twinsburg.
Depending on the position held, some employees qualify for a uniform/clothing/technology allowance, shift differential or training pay.
Full-time employees may receive a single membership to the City's Fitness Center and may purchase family memberships at a discount rate.
