Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely cash application, and resolving customer deductions. This role focuses on improving the cash conversion cycle while providing high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced, transformational environment.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Focuses on three primary pillars: Deductions, Collections, and Cash Application.
• Investigates deductions and disputes from major accounts (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco) to verify validity and gather necessary supporting evidence.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Logistics, Sales (VPs), and Finance to resolve pricing disputes and secure missing documents.
• Monitors account statements, past due balances, check payments, and remittances.
• Conducts reporting and presents account challenges/open AR status to internal sales leadership.

Key Objectives & Accountabilities

• Act as the primary contact for customer account inquiries, payment status, and receivables issues.
• Monitor customer payment behavior and ensure compliance with payment terms.
• Drive customer payment adherence through collections, negotiations, and dunning processes.
• Apply cash payments accurately to open accounts receivable balances.
• Reconcile accounts, match payments to invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve unidentified payments, overpayments, and misapplied payments.
• Work closely with internal teams (Order Management, Sales, Treasury, Finance, Accounting, etc.) to optimize processes and customer experience.
• Support month- and year-end closing procedures and audit requests.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
• Report on accounts receivable KPIs and cash flow performance.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of the customer-to-cash (C2C) process.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Office tools.
• Experience with SAP Finance, Adyen, or similar financial software.
• Analytical skills for trend identification and payment discrepancy resolution.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
• Ability to work independently across multiple time zones.
• Strong analytical mindset, assertive communication, and problem-solving skills to drive collections and deduction resolutions.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP ECC preferred).
• Power BI (navigating slicers/filters).
• Excel (pivot tables, data structuring).
• Power BI and automation tools.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year in AR/Finance.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• 2 5 years of AR/Finance experience preferred.
• Background in Finance or Accounting is ideal.

Important Notes

• Interview Process: Round 1 Screening, followed by a joint interview (combined 50 60 minute session). Round 2 In-person interview.
