Position Title: Accounting Supervisor

Location: Irvine, CA (On-site)

Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Compensation: $48/hr – $60/hr

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Supervisor to join a growing and stable organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership and play a key part in overseeing general accounting functions, supporting the close process, and driving process improvements across the department.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced yet balanced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Support financial reporting activities and maintain general ledger integrity
• Develop and enhance accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain and support the implementation of internal controls and compliance processes
• Coordinate with internal teams on financial inquiries and operational support
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audit requests
• Compile financial data and assist in preparing presentations for leadership
• Support insurance renewals and other corporate compliance-related activities
• Partner with leadership on special projects and process improvements
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) required
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to be hands-on
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
