Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Specialist:

• 
  
• Process and pay vendor invoices, including entering bills, getting approvals, and sending payments.
• 
  
• Handle weekly payments by check, ACH, and credit card, making sure everything is accurate and on time.
• 
  
• Record daily deposits, cash receipts, and customer payments, and keep accounts up to date.
• 
  
• Assist with monthly accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.
• 
  
• Research and resolve payment, billing, and account issues for vendors and customers, and respond to questions from internal teams.
• 
  
• Maintain organized financial files, support audits and reporting, and help improve accounting processes when needed.
• 
  

Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist:

• 
  
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience required
  
  
  • 
    
  • Knowledge of GAAP, Chart of Accounts and GL preferred
  • 
    
  
  
• 
  
• Experience using NetSuite required
• 
  
• Associates degree in a related field a plus but not required
• 
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and calculations
• 
  

Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5pm fully on site in Baltimore, MD

Salary: $50,000-$55,000
