Accounting Manager

Our client who is a venture-backed technology start-up is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. This is an on-site role in the office 5 days a week in San Francisco.JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee the month-end close and support external audits.Own preparation of finance statementsEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards and lead the implementation of new accounting standardsServe as the primary point of contact for external auditorsSupervise month-end close and accounts payable processesReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.Lead and manage a team of senior accountantsQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience, preferable a mix of experience in audit in public accounting and within accounting in a fast-growing companyExperience working at a publicly-traded company preferredProficient in Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Airbase, and AvalaraStrong technical accounting knowledge (familiarity with various ASC's)SaaS experience preferredAbility to work independently and follow tasks through to completion, meeting deadlinesStrong critical thinking, organizational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.#J-18808-Ljbffr
