A fast-paced hospitality business is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role combines hands-on accounting with team oversight and requires full-time, on-site presence in Flatiron.

Description
- Oversee daily and weekly revenue reconciliation and financial reporting
- Prepare and distribute daily flash reports to senior stakeholders
- Manage reservation deposit tracking, redemptions, and refunds
- Supervise accounts payable, including vendor payments and invoice review
- Review and support the work of a Staff Accountant
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain balance sheet accuracy
- Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, accrals, and prepayments
- Prepare monthly financial reports, KPIs, and variance analysis (revenue, COGS, payroll)
- Reconcile tip pools and commission reporting, identifying discrepancies
- Support sales tax and commercial rent tax filings
- Maintain organized financial records and adhere to strict reporting timelines
Profile
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within hospitality or a high-volume environment
- Prior experience managing or mentoring junior staff preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Analytical and solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfortable working on-site 5 days per week in Flatiron
