LHH is partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its accounting and finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to lead key accounting functions, develop team members, drive process improvements, and serve as a strategic business partner within the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close while demonstrating the leadership skills necessary to mentor staff, improve processes, and support broader business objectives. Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related accounting functions
Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and other financial initiatives
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making
Lead accounting process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Previous supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred
Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems or other accounting software preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
CPA, CMA, or other professional certification is a plus
