Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will play a key part in the company's financial operations, with responsibility for general accounting, monthly close, inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the numbers, partnering with operations, and improving accounting processes - while also taking the next step in their career.What You'll DoTake an active role in the monthly and year-end financial close processPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsAssist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statementsManage inventory accounting and reconciliationsAnalyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, and production variancesMaintain fixed asset and capital expenditure accountingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reportingSupport annual audit and tax reporting requirementsDirectly supervise and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsStrengthen accounting controls and identify opportunities to improve processesPartner closely with Operations, Purchasing, and other departmentsProvide financial analysis and support to the Controller and management teamWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field4+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong general ledger and month-end close experienceManufacturing accounting experience strongly preferredInventory and cost accounting experience highly desirablePrevious supervisory or team-lead experience preferredStrong Excel skillsExperience working with ERP accounting systemsSYSPRO experience is a plus, but not requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to take ownership, meet deadlines, and work independentlyCPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not requiredWhy This Opportunity?This isn't a narrowly defined accounting role where you'll be limited to one area of the business.
