Responsibilities include overall administration and implementation of the groups objectives in conjunction with company goals and objectives to include teaming with supporting units to successfully achieve those objectives.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Management responsibility for the services and activities of the general accounting team in a shared services environment in accordance with the department policies procedures and service level agreements.Directly supervise non-supervisory employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&8217s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring training and professional development mentoring planning assigning and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving issues.Coordinate and participate in the timely completion of the monthly financial close ensuringmanagements estimates are reasonable in accordance with GAAPand all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a periodic basis.Participate in the development review and improvement of the organizations policies procedures and internal controls review operational compliance to ensure proper controls are in place.Provide accounting and financial system guidance to management and staff throughout the company.Participate in the annual budget process and provide budget assistance to management and staff. Manage monthly and annual forecast budgets.Assist in the year end audit process and monitor and coordinate staff assignments to ensure schedules and documents are prepared consistently accurately and according to schedule.Assign coordinate and review tax schedules government reports and ad-hoc reports as requested.Ensure completion of state and local tax returns and resolve all related issues.
