Accounting Manager

6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm strongly preferred). This accounting manager will report directly to the incumbent of this position and will manage a team of four staff/senior accountants. 

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards, managing the month-end close process, and supporting internal controls over financial reporting (SOX). This individual will supervise a team of accountants and play a key role in liaising with external auditors and cross-functional business partners.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results
  
• 
  Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by the accounting team
  
• 
  Oversee consolidation of global entities and ensure compliance with intercompany policies
  
• 
  Assist with the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy, etc.) and related disclosures
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain strong internal controls
  
• 
  Research and document complex accounting transactions (revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases, acquisitions, etc.)
  
• 
  Partner with FP&A and business leaders to provide meaningful financial insights and support decision-making
  
• 
  Manage audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure timely resolution of issues
  
• 
  Mentor, train, and develop staff accountants and senior accountants
  

Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred
  
• 
  6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm strongly preferred)
  
• 
  Experience in a publicly traded company with SEC reporting exposure required
  
• 
  Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance
  
• 
  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  
• 
  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
