Job Details

This role manages the day-to-day accounting operations and owns the monthly close for the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver accurate financial statements on schedule
  • Supervise, train, and develop the accounting team, including review of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Own the general ledger, chart of accounts, and account reconciliation process
  • Prepare and review financial statements with variance analysis and commentary for leadership
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain documented internal controls and accounting policies
  • Lead the annual audit, coordinating requests and serving as the primary contact for external auditors
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
  • Improve close timelines, reporting quality, and system workflows through process and automation improvements
  • Partner with operations and other departments on accounting questions and business decisions

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Supervisory experience leading and developing accounting staff
  • Proven ownership of the full month-end close and financial statement preparation
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience managing external audits
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
