Description

Constellation Search Group is looking for an Accounting Manager for a full-time direct hire position. The Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit coordination. This hands-on role is responsible for preparing accurate financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the business through timely and reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a lean manufacturing environment where priorities can change, processes may be manual, and resourcefulness is essential to meeting deadlines and driving results.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, analyze financial results, and explain significant variances.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Lead the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and audit deliverables.
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Support inventory, fixed asset, accrual, and other accounting activities.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and accounting/finance-related tasks.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in public accounting (audit preferred).
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience leading the month-end close and annual audit process.
  • CPA preferred.
  • SAP or ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
