Accounting Assistant (AP/AR, Reconciliations, QuickBooks Online)
Location: Houston, 77032
Employment Type: Temporary
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Accounting Department with daily financial operations. This role will focus on AP/AR management, account reconciliations, ACH processing, and other general accounting duties. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in both QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
  • Perform routine account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Handle ACH processing and other electronic payment activities
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and financial documentation
  • Support the accounting team with administrative and project-based tasks
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all financial records

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required
  • Strong Excel skillsĀ 
  • Solid understanding of AP/AR functions and reconciliation procedures
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
