We are seeking applicants for an Accounting Assistant role with a great company in Greensboro. The Accounting Assistant provides administrative and accounting support to the finance department by assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and recordkeeping. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring timely and efficient processing of financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
Verify invoice approvals and supporting documentation.
Assist with check runs, ACH payments, and vendor communications.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Create and distribute customer invoices.
Post customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
Assist with collections efforts and follow up on outstanding balances.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
Perform data entry and maintain accounting records.
Answer inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments.
Assist with audit preparation and document collection.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong data entry and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
