Accountant

Analyze daily, month-end, and year-end activity of income statement and balance sheet accounts by performing periodic audits of daily activity to ensure correct financial information through general ledger entries. Reconcile monthly intercompany accounts for subsidiaries and affiliated companies for accounts receivable and accounts payable as processed by the accounting area.

Our Client, an Industrial Robots and Factory Automation Systems company, is looking for an Accountant for their Sterling Heights, MI /Remote location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Analyze daily, month-end, and year-end activity of income statement and balance sheet accounts by performing periodic audits of daily activity to ensure correct financial information through general ledger entries. Prepare journal entries to maintain correct allocations for multiple-company financial information. Reconcile bank accounts and post bank activity as required. Maintain companies' financial assets and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to the general ledger. Reconcile monthly intercompany accounts for subsidiaries and affiliated companies for accounts receivable and accounts payable as processed by the accounting area. Prepare related miscellaneous charges or credits. Assist the Accounting Supervisor/Controller with invoicing and collection of accounts receivable. Assist in closing system modules for month-end. Assist in general accounting as deemed necessary by the Accounting Supervisor. Cross-train in other accounting areas to provide backup when necessary.

 
Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
