The Team You’ll Join

You'll join Envestnet's Finance organization, supporting the billing operations team. This team plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely billing of Envestnet products and services, partnering closely with finance, operations, and client-facing teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. As an Accountant II, you'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where attention to detail, problem-solving, and process improvement are highly valued. How You’ll Contribute

Envestnet is excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for a motivated Accountant II to play a key role in executing day-to-day billing cycles across multiple products, entities, and systems. This role is critical to providing accurate, timely billing and reporting by ensuring client bills are configured correctly, internal controls are maintained, and billing standards are consistently met.   • Perform complex client billing activities, including fee billing, analysis, issue identification and resolution, adjustment billing, fee calculation validation, procedural documentation, and process analysis primarily supporting Envestnet’s Portfolio Services and MoneyGuide products.
  • Execute billing cycles while supporting client inquiries and ensuring appropriate internal controls are consistently followed.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy by reviewing billing data and confirming alignment with client contracts, business rules, and established billing standards.
  • Deliver against established performance goals, deadlines, and service level agreements while maintaining a high standard of quality and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted billing subject matter expert for clients and internal partners by responding to inquiries, questions, and concerns with professionalism and clarity.
  • Take ownership of billing issue resolution by analyzing data, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and clearly communicating outcomes to customers.
  • Support close activities, audits, financial reporting, internal control testing, and ad hoc accounting projects.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and implementing process improvements that create efficiencies, strengthen controls, and enhance the client experience.
  • Utilize multiple billing systems and software platforms to support complex billing processes across products, entities, and systems.
  • Contribute to system improvements and implementations by identifying efficiency opportunities, supporting testing efforts, and helping ensure successful execution.
  • Support Envestnet’s established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value and minimize risk.
  • Participate in special projects and other strategic initiatives as assigned, offering an exciting opportunity to broaden experience and contribute to the continued success of the team.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.  
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

 

What You’ll Need to Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in billing, accounting, finance operations, revenue operations, accounts receivable, or a related function.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field required.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end billing processes, including invoice preparation, fee validation, contract-to-billing alignment, adjustments, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to analyze large data sets, build reconciliations, use formulas, and support reporting needs.
  • Experience with ERP, billing, or financial systems required; experience with NetSuite, Oracle, Salesforce, subscription billing platforms, or similar systems preferred.

Nice to Haves 

  • Experience in SaaS, subscription, recurring revenue, technology, or multi-product billing environments, with working knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, audit support, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and root causes
  • Process improvement mindset focused on automation, workflow efficiency, documentation, data accuracy, reconciliations, fee validation, and operational controls. Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, automation platforms.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Our Investment in You 

This role offers a base salary range of $64,600 to $80,700. The range listed represents a good-faith estimate of base salary compensation for this position and does not include incentive compensation, equity or benefits. Individual pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.  This role is eligible for an additional incentive component as part of the total rewards package.
