Responsibilities for Accountant include but are not limited to:

·       Validate, settle, and confirm energy commodity transactions.

·       Investigate and resolve pricing, volume, and trade discrepancies.

·       Maintain accurate transaction and market data within the risk management system.

·       Support invoicing processes and Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.

·       Assist with monthly close activities and financial reporting requirements.

·       Coordinate with trading counterparties, schedulers, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, FP&A, and Power Marketing teams to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.

·       Ensure adherence to detailed and time-sensitive operational processes.

·       Support data reconciliation and issue resolution activities related to wholesale energy transactions.

 

Candidates for Accountant must meet the following requirements to be considered:

·       Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

·       Up to two years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, operations, or a related business environment.

·       Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

·       Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

·       Proficiency with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite.

·       Ability to learn specialized systems and applications.

·       Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

·       Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

·       Shift: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Mon- Fri

·       Remote Role

Pay Details: $27.72 per hour
