Harvard Resource Solutions/VENTEON is seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper for our manufacturing client in Oak Park on a temporary to direct hire basis.

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Position Summary
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to lead the financial operations. As a key partner to the Owner, you will manage the full accounting cycle—from daily transactional tasks like AP, A/R and Purchase Orders to high-level month-end reporting. Responsible for managing the General Ledger through Financial Statement preparation. This is a "player-coach" role perfect for a professional who enjoys both the precision of bookkeeping and the strategic impact of financial analysis in a growing company.
Job Responsibilities
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of [QuickBooks] and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Expertise: Deep understanding of full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, and financial statement preparation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior experience in a small business or "department of one" environment is highly preferred.
