The City of Chesapeake's Public Works Operations is seeking a motivated, organized Account Technician to provide accounting and administrative support to its Operations divisions. If you enjoy working with data, keeping records accurate, and helping a team stay organized, this could be a great opportunity for you.
As an Account Technician, you will support daily operations by preparing requisitions, maintaining records, coordinating supplies, and providing responsive customer service.

Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires high school diploma or GED/HSE and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in accounting or related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of one year of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record in compliance with the City Driving Standards.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Maximo, Peoplesoft, and Excel preferred.
