Insight Global is seeking a Shipboard Fiber Optics Technician to support cable installation and modernization projects aboard Navy and maritime vessels. This individual will perform hands-on shipboard work including pulling, routing, terminating, and securing fiber optic and copper cabling, building connectors, and supporting electrical and communications system upgrades. Candidates will receive specialized fiber optic training and work alongside experienced technicians to become fully qualified in turnkey fiber optic installations. Once productive, there will be opportunities to travel to customer sites nationwide in support of ongoing projects.
- 3+ years of shipboard electrical experience
- Experience pulling, routing, and installing cable aboard ships
- Ability to perform hands-on physical work in industrial/maritime environments
- Willingness to obtain fiber optic certifications and complete technical training
- Ability to work overtime as needed
